The wagon that nearly got away, the Volvo V40 R.
There’s one of these awesome little things local to me now, I see them on my commute to work in the morning before I hit the highway. The V70R tends to steal the show, but we can’t forget his little brother.

Except that there was never an R version of the V40. It’s just a standard V40.

I like these V40's, and I’ve considered them when shopping for a car. Just too bad we never got the V40R over here!

Too bad! Because that V40 was built on a Mitsubishi platform, and shares some shit with Mitsus of the time. It may be possible to swap in an Evo turbo engine, then you’d have a V40R ;)
